Athletes of the Month – September 2024
Congratulations to Mia Koenigsberger of the Girls’ Golf team and Evan Gaughn from the Football team, our York Dukes Athletes of the Month!
Mia Koenigsberger has been a standout performer for the girls’ golf team, leading by example both on and off the course. She delivered an impressive round, shooting an 83 at the GBE Ram Invitational, contributing to her team’s success this season. Mia’s consistency and leadership have set a high standard for her teammates, and her performance continues to drive the Dukes toward excellence.
On the football field, Evan Gaughn has been a defensive force through the first three games. His impressive stat line includes 35 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss (TFL), 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble (FF), and 1 blocked kick. Evan’s relentless pursuit and ability to disrupt opposing offenses have made him a key player in the Dukes' defensive unit.
