York Community High School Students Shine at 2024 IHSAE
– Securing $1,952,000 in Scholarships –
Elmhurst, IL – District 205 is proud to announce the achievements of its students from York Community High School at the 2024 Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) hosted by ArtConnectED. The IHSAE is a statewide showcase of artistic prowess, allowing students to receive accolades, scholarship offers and the opportunity to exhibit their artwork.
The IHSAE allows students to submit work for consideration through two different categories: General Exhibition and Senior Exhibition. Their pieces were reviewed and judged by panels of esteemed artists, art teachers and collegiate sponsors, earning them recognition among the best student artists in Illinois.
A total of $1,952,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to 10 deserving individuals, who highlighted not only their artistic abilities but also their academic excellence. Those recipients are Campbell Anderson, Charlotte (Charlie) Plaiss, Courtney Yang, Delia Marianetti, Anisa (Jade) Connor, Kalyn Gunn, MacKenzie Petersen, Morgan Hrody, Chloe (Raine) Wargin and Sophia Jackson.
Additionally, eight York High School seniors were honored with the opportunity to present their artwork in the Senior Exhibition: Campbell Anderson, Anisa (Jade) Connor, Sophia Jackson, Kalyn Gunn (Time Arts Animation), Morgan Hrody, Delia Marianetti, Charlotte (Charlie) Plaiss and Courtney Yang.
Furthermore, selected from a pool of submissions spanning from various mediums and styles, seven York High School students were chosen to display their artwork in the General Exhibition: Ashley Archiable (Drawing), Maddy Brooks (Sculpture), Bradley Cristano (Drawing), Kalyn Gunn (Time Arts), Faith Krzak (Design), Noah LaBine (Photography) and Courtney Yang (Mixed Media).
District 205 extends its congratulations to all the participating students and expresses gratitude to the IHSAE for providing students to showcase their artistic talent.
