Welcome to the Library Media Center!

Library Media Centers are spaces for students to continue fostering a love for literacy, discovery, and creation. In these spaces, students explore a professionally curated selection of literature, fiction, and nonfiction texts and participate in related hands-on activities. The Library Media Center also supports various student activities and research efforts as students think, create, share, and grow together. All K-12 buildings across District #205 have a Library Media Center supported by a Library Media Specialist and T.A..

What is a "Makerspace"?

Makerspaces are part of the Library Media Center and offer hands-on, experiential learning environments where students are immersed in activities, problems, and projects that build upon each other and relate to the real world. Students experience integrated learning that blends computer science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, math, and other skills to create something new and different.
