FIELD EXPERIENCES
University students pursuing a degree in education may be required to complete field experiences including, but not limited to observations and practicum. Here is the process to complete yours in District 205:
Step 1: Email Killian Elwart with a letter from your university or professor detailing your request and notate any schools/grade levels you are interested in.
Step 2: Check your email for updates on your request.
Step 3: Once your request is approved you will be asked to fill out an application and schedule Fingerprinting at the District Office.
Step 4: Once you are cleared, you may begin your hours!
STUDENT TEACHING
Please follow these steps to be considered for a student teaching placement in District 205.
Step 1: Please have your University’s Placement Coordinator Email Killian Elwart with your request, resume, transcripts, and any additional relevant information.
Step 2: Check your email for updates on your request.
Step 3: Once your request is approved you will be asked to fill out an application and complete our onboarding process.
Step 4: Once you are cleared, you may begin your student teaching experience!
